Robot's can break their legs too!

Here is a beautiful picture of a Robot made by Elsie. If you look closely you will notice that his legs are in plaster! I'm not sure what happened, but I think it's a reflection of the fact that Elsie actually had her leg in plaster while making this (she is fine now- it was just a precaution, and probably just a twisted something!). Her leg was in PINK plaster though! Thanks Elsie.

If you have a picture of something Robot-y or monkey-ish that you'd like to share email me

Let's have a MONKEY & ROBOT party!

Believe it or not - on this incredibly hot, summery, and beautiful day - it's October 3rd, and today is the release date of book number 4 'SNOW' how very apt?!

We thought we'd celebrate - as suggested by a small person at the Bath Lit Fest and a very Large person on facebook - and have a party!

JOIN US!

You can look as cool as us! Below are some mask templates and instructions - just choose which character you want to be - click on the picture and print it out (if it doesn't work for some reason- email me and I'll forward the artwork) then do a bit of marvellous colouring, cut eye holes, put some string/ elastic on you mask & wear. Then act appropriately (monkey-ishly or robotically)!
Take a photo to send me.

So if you are feeling a little sticky and hot maybe 'Snow: The Amazing Tale of an Incredible Snowball' will cool you down!
Buy it here....from BLOOMSBURY or AMAZON or pop to your local bookshop and ask them to get it in if they don't already stock it.

Robot Residency day 3- yet more robots!

Yup! There's more! It was a pretty hot day today, so actually we probably had less roboteers than the other days, but I think we can happily be sure that in the last 3 days we have made over 500 ROBOTS! WOOO HOOO! I feel like I am a robot ambassador!

Also excitingly we (me & Cardboard Robot) are on page 3 (check us out!) of the Evening Post, with a glorious photo of me gurning away!

See article below as well as a few more Robots!

At Bristol is continuing 'Make your own Robot' for another 4 days, so if you feel inspired, get down there! I sadly won't be there, so if you make any please do email me a photo!

Robot Residency day 2

Another inspiring day! I had lots of enthusiastic listeners for my 2 story sessions today, and many many Roboteers making there very own creations....Even more than yesterday, maybe 250!
Everyone's excitement has been infectious. I was also amazed by some very committed Robot fans - one family came today to join in the fun, after the newest member was born just 4 days ago! Thank you. Check out their Robot, it's the one in the bottom right hand corner.
More stories and more Robots tomorrow. More info here...
Look out for us in the Evening post tomorrow!
